March 12, 2025
Otto Township Supervisor’s meeting was held on March 12, 2025, at The Otto Township Office Building. Board Members present were Supervisors CJ Kaluza, Dennis Mong and Gerard Rettger. Secretary Jeannine Drummond was absent, and minutes taken by Gerard Rettger. Visitors in attendance Sharon Schwab, Earl Strait, Scott Bell, Jim Stuck, Bill Cochran, Chris Claycomb and Kristal Gross.
CJ Kaluza called the meeting to order at 6:06 pm with The Pledge of Allegiance.
The February meeting minutes were reviewed, no changes noted. Motion by CJ and seconded by Denny to accept the minutes AIF.
The Treasures Report, bills and bank statements were reviewed. Motion by CJ and second by Denny to accept AIF.
Police Report – No police report given. Supervisors approved hiring Mitch Hayden as a Part-Time Officer.
Park Report – None
Road Report – Majority of time has been spent plowing and sanding. Coolant leak on the Back Hoe, discussion on garage to make repairs. Fleet Pride $150.00 hr., Schimp $145.00 hr. and Blakslee $100.00 hr. Decided to have Blakslee make repairs. Ed Garbage Truck has a diesel fuel leak that will need repairs. some maintenance work on equipment. Discussion on Justin Perkins approved to work par-time hours as needed to assist the road crew,
Old Business
Sanitary Pick Up Truck Bid, Bid received on Municipal Bid for $12,600, bid accepted. CJ will follow through on paperwork.
Volunteer Tax Credit – No update
New Business
Sub Divisions – Letters of sub divisions for the Schimp and Delcott Family approved.
Motion for park lawn mowing made by Gerard and seconded by CJ to advertise for bids, may consider other options if bids not favorable.
Motion made by Gerard and seconded by CJ to pursue Weed Spraying at the park.
Bank Account – Supervisors signed the paperwork changing the Police Savings account to a Money Market Account.
