_Otto Township Supervisor’s Meeting Minutes

December 10, 2025

The Otto Township Supervisor’s meeting was held on December 10, 2025, at The Otto Township Office Building. Board members present were Supervisors Gerard Rettger, Dennis Mong and Christopher Kaluza, Secretary Jeannine Drummond. Visitors in attendance include Earl Strait, Linda Strait, Zach Tuller, Ed Coast, and Colleen Ross.

Christopher Kaluza called the meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. with The Pledge of Allegiance.

Visitors were welcomed.

Oath of Office for New Fire Police- Christopher read the oath and Zach Tuller and Ed Coast were both sworn as new Fire Police for Otto Township.

Colleen Ross expressed concerns about issues of damage to the new 550 plow truck. She wants to know if everything is being documented.

A few residents asked about the plowing of the roads and issues with the condition of the roads.

Earl Strait asked about parking along Main Street. It is difficult for cars to pass through as it makes the road too narrow with cars parked along the street.

November meeting minutes were reviewed. Gerard motioned to accept, Christopher 2nd AIF

The treasurer’s report, bills and bank statements were reviewed. Motion Christopher, Dennis 2nd AIF.

Park Report- Closed

Road Work Report- CJ read the road report. He discussed the need for better traction on the new 550. Dennis suggested chains for the tires. CJ will check prices on chains.

Police Report-

OLD BUSINESS:

Updates Kansas Branch Project- Dirt/Gravel workshop was canceled.

Gerard motioned to adopt the 2026 Budget, Christopher 2nd AIF.

Dennis motioned to adopt Ordinance no. 77 for Supervisors Pay, Christopher 2nd, Gerard abstained

NEW BUSINESS:

Dollar General’s stormwater system is not in compliance with the Township Ordinance. The new solicitor is sending a letter requiring a response within 30 days.

Certificate of Millage for 2026 was signed. The Township will not have an increase in taxes.

The Township received a letter from Bradford City Fire Dept. Starting Jan 1, 2026, the Township will be charged $612.92 each time Bradford has to respond when TLC is Out of Service.
