Otto Township Supervisor’s Meeting Minutes

August 12, 2026

The Otto Township Supervisor’s meeting was held on August 12, 2026, at The Otto Township Office Building. Board members present were Supervisors Gerard Rettger, Dennis Mong, Christopher Kaluza, and Secretary Jeannine Drummond. Visitors in attendance include Tina Crandell, Bill Cochran, Corey Wilcox, Steve Kerr, and Colleen Ross.

Christopher Kaluza called the meeting to order at 6:07 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Christopher made a motion to add to the agenda- Steve Kerr’s drainage on Kansas Branch.

Visitors were welcomed.

Bill Cochran needs Christopher to look at a driveway for his new home on Kansas Branch Road.

Steve Kerr needs drainage for the new driveway going in on Kansas Branch Road for his in-law’s house. Christopher suggested adding pipe and a catch basin. The Township would purchase them at a cost of $3421.70, and Steve would pay for his contractor to install. Gerard motioned to approve, Dennis 2nd AIF. See attached photos for project. July meeting and special meeting minutes were reviewed. Christopher motioned to accept, Dennis 2nd AIF

The treasurer’s report, bills and bank statements were reviewed. Motion Christopher, Gerard 2nd AIF.

Police Report: Cameron Magee has resigned as a Full-Time officer; he will remain as a part-time officer.

Park Report- A swing was repaired and some trees were trimmed.

Road Work Report-Christopher read report for July.

OLD BUSINESS:

Updates Kansas Branch Project-Christopher read a report of what has been completed and what else will be done this year.

Clark Street Bridge- Easements have been received. A time will be set up with the notary to have residents meet and sign.

Updates to Police Dept computers and technology-Still working to get the .gov emails set up.

DCED Grant Application for 2026- Complete and submitted

NEW BUSINESS:

An additional amount of $2127.10 has been allocated for the Townships County Aid funds. This amount will be added for the purchase of salt and sand.

Christopher discussed some improvements that need to be made to the school bus turnaround on Fullerton Road. Dennis motioned to approve, Christopher 2nd AIF

Christopher had a quote for repairs to the brakes on the garbage truck. All supervisors approved.

CORRESPONDENCE:

The Supervisors reviewed correspondence from Larsen Design.

Also reviewed was correspondence for The McKean County Twp. Officials Fall Convention. Gerard will attend and Christopher is a maybe.

Christopher motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:41 pm. Dennis 2nd AIF.
