February 12, 2025
Otto Township Supervisor’s meeting was held on February 12, 2025 at The Otto Township Office Building. Board Members present were Supervisors CJ Kaluza, Dennis Mong and Gerard Rettger. Secretary Jeannine Drummond was absent, and minutes taken by Gerard Rettger. No visitors were in attendance.
CJ Kaluza called the meeting to order at 6:06 pm with The Pledge of Allegiance.
The January meeting minutes were reviewed, no changes noted. Motion by Gerard and seconded by CJ to accept the minutes AIF.
The Treasures Report, bills and bank statements were reviewed. Motion by CJ and second by Gerard to accept AIF.
Police Report – No police report given.
Park Report – CJ received a price on replacing the roof on the concession stand for $6500.00 budgetary pricing. CJ is also researching pricing on pre-fab concession stands.
Road Report – Majority of time has been spent plowing and sanding some maintenance work on equipment. Issues with the 1-ton Ford discussed, will be going to the garage for repairs. Brief discussion on the new truck that was ordered, Scott Bell agreed with CJ the gas engine was better.
Supervisors agreed to participate in a in kind even dollar exchange with Armstrong Excavating for pea gravel and road salt.
Old Business
LSA Grant – Approval given for Jeannie and CJ to the signatories on the LSA Grant (Clark St Bridge).
Volunteer Tax Credit – No update
New Business
Clark St Bridge – E&M Engineers approved as the engineers for the project.
PSATS Class – Agreed by the supervisors to authorize the Code Enforcement Officer to participate in PSATS sponsored Webinar on Enforcing Codes.
Bank Account – Supervisors signed the paperwork establishing a savings account for the police department.
